Ingredients
6 cups cubed seedless watermelon, chilled (approx. 2 lbs after peeling)
4 cups cold water
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice, strained and chilled (from about 5–6 lemons)
2/3 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
Ice, for serving
Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions
Blend the Watermelon:
Add watermelon cubes to a blender and blend until smooth. Optional: strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother texture.
Combine Ingredients:
In a large pitcher, stir together the watermelon purée, lemon juice, and sugar until sugar dissolves.
Add Water:
Pour in the cold water and stir again. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Chill & Serve:
Refrigerate until very cold. Serve over ice with mint leaves and lemon slices for garnish.
Notes
Make it Sparkling: Replace 1–2 cups of water with sparkling water for a fizzy version.
Minty Twist: Muddle a few mint leaves in each glass before pouring for extra freshness.
Less Sugar Option: Use honey or agave as a natural sweetener, or reduce sugar to taste.
For Adults: Add a splash of vodka or rum to turn this into a fun summer cocktail!
